Maynard
loved this horn. He played it on his final tour and used it for
his last studio recording "The One and Only". The last time this
horn was played was when Maynard played "Taps" for the family cat,
just 4 days before he himself passed away. We have kept the
mouthpiece with the horn

Maynard Ferguson's silver MF Horn serial #909034 with Autographed
Case
The case was autographed by Maynard and the band members in the
mid-70’s. Autographs include Denis DiBlasio, Stan Mark, and all
the other renegades of that era. We do not know the full story but
it was autographed to Jeff. Not sure how it ended up staying with
Maynard.

serial #503845
This
superbone saw a lot of touring, as you can see by the silver duct
tape holding the slide together
and the baggie with the valve caps in it. Maynard just forgot to
send it for repair and it was found in the
back of the garage with a newspaper inside the case. The
headline of the newspaper reads
"Lennon Killer Charged". Maynard's handwriting is on the outside
of the case.

The Pocket
Trumpet was a novelty that really made Maynard laugh. He loved to
see the astounded
faces when they heard the sound he could pull from this tiny
instrument the size of a child’s toy.
